Government both local and national are major stakeholders in health care. The use of technology in the delivery of health care to the citizens is an issue of accessibility, affordability and adequacy. It is assumed the rich have access to better care as they have the financial resources. Ethically, does it mean that the rich have a greater right to live or live longer?
In the allocation of scarce health care resources, nursing informatics can assist in providing this information and guide decisions to be made by government.

Everybody has the right the only difference is that rich have this opportunity to live longer.
ReplyDeleteNo, as what ms chavez said everybody has the right and it doesn't mean that the poor will die fast than the rich ones.
ReplyDeleteyea :) ms. chavez is correct :P
ReplyDeleteNo, Life status doesn't matter when it comes to death though they have much financial resources for better care...;)
ReplyDelete., everybody has the right to live longer,, its just that, the rich one has the capability to extend their life for they have the power to afford,,
ReplyDeleteNo,everyone of us has the right to live whatever status people have..
ReplyDeleteNo, the treatment to each individual must be equal. :)
ReplyDeleteevery human being has the right to live longer.
ReplyDeleteEveryone should be treated equally. We have all the rights to experience better care for good health.
ReplyDeleteno. everybody has the right to live. it's just that rich people have money to afford better health care. ;D
ReplyDeletethe rich and the poor must have equal right to live!!..
ReplyDeleteNo,everyone of us has the right to live whatever status we have in life.
ReplyDeleteelow
ReplyDeletethe rich have a greater right to help the poor live longer.
ReplyDeleteNo, Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteIt's God's will! :)
ReplyDeleteEverything that's happening on us is God's will.. whether we are poor or rich...

Everybody has the right to live longer. Status in life doesn't matter in this issue!
ReplyDeleteEverything happens for a reason. :)
ReplyDeleteits god's will.
ReplyDeleteNO!everyone has the right to live and to have a fruitful life. Though the rich has enough money to provide themselves proper medical assistance, the poor ones also should be given the treatment like that of the rich ones.
ReplyDeleteEvery individual has the right to live and live longer wether the rich or the poor people.
ReplyDeletethe poor is just very unfortunate..wawa nmn..^_^

ReplyDeleteLegal Considerations for Nurses Practicing in a Telehealth Setting
ReplyDeleteDuring the last century the world has become increasingly reliant on a variety of technologies to manage information needs. Escalation in deployment of remote technology to enhance health care, accompanied by expanded public and private reimbursement for distant care, indicates increasing acceptance of these technologies. Yet many legal and regulatory questions regarding the provision of health care using these technologies remain.
One of the consistent questions about telehealth nursing is whether there is a need for certification or additional credentialing for telehealth practice.
This question is being raised even though the last century has been replete with the introduction of new tools and technology in health care, resulting in a system that is quite adept at incorporating new technologies into patient care and that understands the expectation that users are trained, proficient and safe in using any new technology.
you have to make your own blogs..1 per week..topics should be related to nursing/ nursing informatics like this one..
ideally, the rich and the poor have equal rights for proper healthcare., the problem is, in reality, money is the key for someone to receive such care and so, the neddy, having no enough financial support also experience healthcare deprivation
ReplyDeleteit is obvious that those who have higher status in life can provide better things in living and specially access to better care but we must consider equality and care for life, rich or poor.
ReplyDeleteeverbody has the right to live...!!its just that rich people has more money to support their lives...

ReplyDeleteeverybody has the right to live longer whether rich or poor...
ReplyDeleteit's the reality we have to accept.. but still, we have to do something to make some changes for the betterment of the society.
ReplyDeleteeverybody deserves to live and no person in this world should have any right to decide for others just to attain satisfaction and contentment.
ReplyDeleteeveryone should be treated equally but rich people are luckier because they have money that can sustain their needs unlike the poor ones...however in the eyes of God, we are all equal.
ReplyDeleteEverybody has the right to live longer because we are all equal. Quality care is not exclusive for the rich people only. Even though most rich people have access to better health care through technology, it doesn't mean that poor people can't have quality care too. And as (future) nurses, it is our job to utilize the limited resources to deliver quality care to patients regardless of their social status. =)
ReplyDeleteyes, rich people have greater chances to live longer than the poor people because of their wealth but this must not be the situation. As a student, I think, the first thing that I can do is to vote for the right persons who can help us change these situations. :)
ReplyDelete= (equal)
ReplyDeletewe are all equal.
there's no such as rich or people in good's eyes. everyone has the right to live this gift of god. :)
you're right racyl! so, are we in YELLOW? :)
ReplyDeleteeveryone should be treated equally!!
ReplyDeletequality care is given to those who need it. rich or poor, if you need to be cared for then it's your right.
ReplyDeleteActually, health care should be given equally. unfortunately, rich people have a greater chance to live longer. we all know that money has a great impact in our society today.money can be a factor for people to be able to live longer.
ReplyDeleteYes, the rich are those who can afford quality care but it does not mean that they are the one's who can live longer. The government should promote programs for health promotion and disease prevention for the poor and if in case the poor becomes ill or sick, the government should support and provide for them.
ReplyDeleteAs future nurses, we should not only give quality care to the rich but also to the poor. Therefore, we should see equality among all people.
*end
no, maybe they just got lucky to sustain the medications given to them, but it doesn't mean that they have the right to live longer.
ReplyDeletehealth is wealth.
think of this. a rich guy w/ cancer and and a poor guy w/ no illness. what can you do about your money if you're gonna spend it all to have your life longer?
it's just this. we all have the right to live longer, we just have to take care of ourselves.
all of us will go back in the form of ash.
Life will always be unfair. And money, accept it or not, will still be a big part of human nature. It makes the world go round. It's sad. But still we have to accept the fact that not all people are capable of living their life to the fullest. :|
ReplyDeleteIt shouldn't be that way.
ReplyDeleteThe needy must also be given quality care from the hospitals.
It's just that they can't afford to be in private hospitals due to financial reasons.
Health is a primary concern.
The government must do something about this.
As future nurses, we must give our patients the treatment they deserve.
We all want to live in a world without discrimination and prejudice..and with equality in all aspects...but in reality.,this want is like only a dream and is impossible...
ReplyDeletelet us see this want as a big challenge from God...
…though ethical it may seem...that's the harsh reality...poor people does not benefit much of the health care services especially those of the third world countries...
ReplyDelete…the author country of the human rights treats ill people equally whether poor or rich...
:::EQUALITY:::
