Government both local and national are major stakeholders in health care. The use of technology in the delivery of health care to the citizens is an issue of accessibility, affordability and adequacy. It is assumed the rich have access to better care as they have the financial resources. Ethically, does it mean that the rich have a greater right to live or live longer?
In the allocation of scarce health care resources, nursing informatics can assist in providing this information and guide decisions to be made by government.
Everybody has the right the only difference is that rich have this opportunity to live longer.

Even though most rich people have access to better health care through technology, it doesn't mean that poor people can't have quality care too. And as (future) nurses, it is our job to utilize the limited resources to deliver quality care to patients regardless of their social status. =)

The government should promote programs for health promotion and disease prevention for the poor and if in case the poor becomes ill or sick, the government should support and provide for them.

Life will always be unfair. And money, accept it or not, will still be a big part of human nature. It makes the world go round. It's sad. But still we have to accept the fact that not all people are capable of living their life to the fullest. :|

It's just that they can't afford to be in private hospitals due to financial reasons.
